When I asked one of my patients their thoughts abt the #COVID19 vaccine, they told me they were worried it might kill them.

This was someone who had several relatives die from #COVID19.

But after addressing their concerns, they said they would take it when it became available.

Our convo was about the vaccine was about 5-10 minutes total.

My goal wasn't to persuade them but to make sure they had the info that they needed to make an informed decision w/ my support.

But just to say I was actually saddened that this country had terrorized and traumatized Black people like my patient to the point that despite having loved ones die from the virus many of us are understandably fearful of an intervention that can protect us.
