I have just realised what this pandemic reminds me of.
Teaching practice.
Bear with me here, it’ll probably be a mini thread.....1
So on TP I would be all consumed with school. Early get ups often in the dark, doing things you knew you’d never do in your real teaching job but you had to do for now (that is gate duty equivalent). Getting home, eating, being too tired for much except a bit of work...2
I didn’t see friends in the week unless they were housemates ( @annaplant5) and evening the weekends I was often too tired for anything else.
I was always so tired on TP it was all I could do to function and get through school.....3
And I’ve been struggling to think of what this lockdown reminds me of.
And it’s that. Being all consumed with what you have to do, and not doing what you want to do.
At least TP had a finite end..... 4 end
