Please put any questions you have on topics I have not covered under HERE.
Tip 1: Prices
Some artists have minimum and recommended price which are different, some only have rec price. If the artist has mostly the same "type" of art (bust/halfbody/fullbody/colored/BW/no bg) then you can assume that that's what you'll get if you offer the rec price. 1/?

If there is a difference in what is shown in terms of quality, you can assume that someone either paid more or less so think about what you think is fair for the level of detail you want in relation to their rec price and ask accordingly. 9/10 cases you get rejected, it's b/c 2/?
Tip 2: Rejection
Some likely cases you were rejected were because:
1. You didn't offer enough
2. Your request is too complicated
3. The artists does not think they can do your request justice
4. The artist has gotten too many requests (which is nice that they reject b/c a lot 1/?

just let it sit there which drains money from your bank acc everyday.
5. Your request is out of the artist's comfort zone (like asking for NSFW when they have it off)
Rejection is upsetting but, again, if you think their art is worth it, then offer a diff price/diff scene.

Tip 3: Appeals
Sometimes you will get emails that look like this.
This is an appeal in which an artist is asking you to commission them/they would like to draw your character.
You're under no obligation to request but you're welcome to so!

Tip 3: Average response & completion times
Not all artists will show this, but it is important to look at average times like this to see how long you might have to wait for your art to be completed. Not to be confused with response & request expiration times. 1/?

Personally I take these into account, especially average response times. This is because for everyday that your request is pending, you bank will still attempt to take that amount out of your bank/credit card. This means if you requested something worth 100$, a new charge 2/?
Tip 5: Boosts
Boosting is kind of like "tipping" but tipping culture does not exist in Japan so I think any amount would be appreciated. What it mostly does is put a gold border around your request to be like "this artist rocks!"
Artists to get 100% of the boosts.

Tip 6: Translation
It's perfectly okay to not speak any Japanese! Skeb has a built in translation system (just make sure it's on) via an integration of DeepL.
HOWEVER, it is best to type in simple sentences so nothing becomes lost in translation. 1/?
