The Capitol Hill Riots - Explained By Your Last Relationship

Imagine this situation:

You don’t care about your partner being late, but they do care about you being late.

One night you come home from a dinner after you said you would and your partner complains at you. ⬇️
Then, a few weeks later your partner is at an event and THEY arrive home late.

Even though you don’t care, your hypocrisy radar starts firing and you highlight how they brought this exact situation up when you were at fault.

This now spirals into an ever-intensifying routine.
Linking that in with what's happened over the last few weeks...

The Capitol Hill riots were shocking, but would they have happened without the BLM riots in 2020?

The BLM riots were shocking, but would they have happened without Charlottesville?
Trump debating the outcome of the election was shocking, but would that have happened without his 2016 victory being so widely disputed and investigated for years?

And so on, and so on...
You can see how Tit-For-Tat can cause us to act in ways we wouldn’t normally because we feel we’ve been mistreated and now have justification for retribution.

I did a video about this. Watch here 🔗
