6.3% of all adults in the UK have received at least the first dose.

Sir Patrick Vallance has stated "it's likely the vaccine we have now is going to protect against the UK variant and is going to provide protection against the other variants as well" and that it's very likely the vaccine will have at least some effect on transmission.
