Being played out of position in football
People think being played out of position isnt a big deal. The ignorant ones will go "just because he's out of position doesn't mean that he shouldn't be able to pass to ball!1!". But yes it can and might be that bad.
But what are some factors that make being played out of position terrible for some players?

Dribbling style: Players that like to use large strides/touches to dribble will obviously struggle on the wing due to the relative lack of space. Werner and Vardy are examples of this.
Quality on the ball: Players that lack on the ball intelligence
(mainly black players) and/or are less technical should never be played in positions such as a winger, CM or DM. When you do that, you're essentially sabotaging them by playing them at an unfavorable angle.
Angles and perspective: A lot of players are terrible when mainly facing a horizontal direction. This could be because they are either bad 1v1 dribbling and/or are not good at passing or ball control at that angle.
And as this constantly happens, the player in question starts losing confidence to the point of not being able to do basics like passing or finishing. Judging a player out of position is completely unfair and should not be encouraged.
