Lab-origin theory is a gathering of "overzealous activists, self-appointed detectives, unqualified writers, and politically motivated conspiracy theorists."

Still this thread author goes on to say it's possible sars-cov-2 is a lab accident; offers criteria for how to discuss. https://twitter.com/angie_rasmussen/status/1349754581702508544
Here is a Nature editorial by the same author. unlike the thread doesn't allow chance of laboratory origin.

says the opposite: idea that "SARS-CoV-2 was the result of a laboratory accident" is a "conspiracy theory." full stop https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-020-01205-5
Im not a Tom Cotton fan or anything, but in that Fox news clip he doesn't say its a bio weapon. He says there is BSL4 lab in Wuhan that needs to be looked at as a possible origin.
Cotton later said more on twitter, that he though it could be natural origin, lab accident, engineered .. and ordered the likelihood of each in the SAME order as scientists do, including the thread author. https://twitter.com/SenTomCotton/status/1229202134048133126
Imagine trying to speak and having the media overlay the words "misinformation" ... "debunked theory" as you do so.

See the screenshot from the vid in the last tweet.

And actually, the actual things Cotton says in this clip are true.
So as little as I like to admit it, this is an actual instance of the 'fake news'

...in their fact checking news organizations said with certainty the lab theory is false, while in reality unknown
But then, since what Cotton said on Fox not actualy untrue, it's necessary to ascribe to him things he didnt say -- namely that he enthusiastically cried "bioweapon" -- which is also untrue, at least in the referenced FOX news clip /END
Currently getting a lot of "overzealous activists, self-appointed detectives, unqualified writers, and politically motivated conspiracy theorists" in my thread, too. Downside of commenting!

One thought I did appreciate is the one below from Leonid. https://twitter.com/schneiderleonid/status/1350157519902175236
