SILENT HYPOXIA in COVID-19:
-> Patients who UNKNOWINGLY have dangerously low oxygen levels with minimal symptoms.
- As symptoms are mild it can be VERY difficult to detect without a pulse oximeter

Even SMALL shifts away from normal sats can increase mortality:
Sats 95%
30 day mortality 2.3%
Sats 94-95%
30 day mortality 5.4%

Patients with silent hypoxia may need empowering to go to hospital as due to feeling relatively well they may lack insight to the severity of their condition
