Rating my tattoo pain scales: a thread

Forearms inner/outer.

Inner: 4/10 first tattoo. Was uncomfortable at first, but it was worth it.

Outer: 3/10 with some 4/10 spots. Very easy places for first tattoos.

Fingers: 2/10

Another easy placement for first tattoos. Lots of vibrations can be felt. Do not recommend inner finger tattoos. They fade.

Ribs: 2/10

I’ve heard this is the most painful spot, but it was very easy to get done. Not painful at all.

Behind the ear: 1/10

You feel absolutely nothing. It’s a light sting and a lot of vibrations. You can’t even feel the needle. Highly recommend this place.

Back/base of the neck: 6/10

This feels like you’re being burned. When the needle hits the spine, it’s a spicy hot moment. Otherwise, it’s bearable, but uncomfortable for first time tattoo virgins.
