Some asshole said something about me wanting my check -- I mean who wouldn't, but if you think that's my primary concern here, you're too ignorant to speak to the matter. I will be okay if things spiral for me. I have community. I'm speaking up for the majority here who do not.

I also know what it's like to be hungry. And I know what it's like to not have a home, and to pray to a god you don't even believe in for it to get warmer soon, bc it sucks having nowhere to go in the cold. I remember that. That's why I say the .gov needs to cough up those checks

Some of you haven't just sheltered yourselves from the virus. You have forgotten how to be deeply invested in the well being of other people. Well, get it the fuck together and be the person you tell yourself you are, bc it's your actions that actually define you.

Every mocking, callous, insulting response to my tweets on this subject proves my point. I have honestly never seen so many people determined to prove I am right by acting out the very thing I am describing. Your contempt is a weakness, not a strength & it makes you look SO bad.

The people mocking folks for asking for the full $2K are high fiving each other for their cleverness. The hubris. Already determined to alienate the people who actually won this for them -- the people who desperately need relief. They are laughing at those people.

And when they fuck up the midterms, they will blame the left. After they mocked hungry people are asking for the checks that were pictured in campaign ads. I will resurface the screencaps to remind y'all that you mocked desperate people right out of the gate.

Of course they won't trust you. In their darkest hour, you could have asked for more help for them, but you pointed and laughed and told them they were bad at math. Own that. Because that's who some of you are today and it's why you are going to fail in the future.
