Well, this held up well, unfortunately…
Little has been done since 2016, and U.S. has a lot to learn from #DDR programs used around the world to assist ex-combatants @PVGlance http://politicalviolenceataglance.org/2016/12/06/americas-reintegration-election/
We need reintegration assistance for so many in our society... But first we need accountability and justice.
In addition to de-radicalization of extremists, DDR programs help with "rehabilitation, reconciliation, and cementing peace in divisive post-conflict settings."
"If these programs can provide social support and promote dialogue between the opposing groups of war victims and their victimizers, there’s a good chance they can help in America after its divisive election." (... 2016's, and now also 2020's)
My intuition is this needs to be a whole-of-gov't (USG) approach--from HHS to Dept of Labor to Veteran Affairs...

With additional support from civil society organizations--the same backing as when DDR succeeds in conflict-affected countries globally
