The benefits of the hijab for women 
The first significant benefit of wearing her hijab and dressing modestly is that you are pleasing Allah and fulfilling his commandment. This commandment is outlined in the Quran:
“…restrain their looks and guard their private parts, and that they display not their beauty or embellishment except that which is apparent thereof and that they draw their head-covering over their bosoms…” 24:32
’TELL THE BELIEVING WOMEN TO DRAW THEIR OUTER GARMENTS AROUND THEM.’’ Quran 33:59
It provides a sense of security for women at Allah times and makes some social gatherings easier to be a part of if there are male counterparts around. That’s not to say clothing should be blamed in a situation of sexual harassment, men should lower their gaze at all times.
In my opinion, the hijab is very empowering since in the west the only time a woman is seen as powerful is if she exposes her body, which does not make sense to me. Islam gives your voice and opinion a meaning that isn’t affected by the way you look.
The hijab is an OBLIGATION for both genders. However, humans are not perfect and may Allah make it easier for all my sisters to embrace the hijab soon. The hijab has a beautiful meaning and does not allow your self worth and respect be swayed by the way you look.
After learning and embracing the meaning of the hijab it gives an overwhelming amount of confidence. We look amazing with it and Allah has made us in such a way which we are perfect. Subhanallah
In no way am I and my hijab perfect, and may Allah forgive and ease wearing it perfectly for all of us.
