Trump placed open white nationalists all throughout his admin from the beginning and we — mainstream media, polite society — normalized that and we should all be absolutely appalled. Trump was always a vessel for much more sinister groups tht we make-believed were a small fringe.

Now our capital is locked down. There are threats of political assassinations. 20k troops deployed to ensure a transfer of power. The America that too many with platforms and power dismissed as impossible has arisen.

White nationalism is not some harmless fringe ideology of folks who don’t know any better. It is the oldest and most violent form of American politics, anti-democratic by definition, and has always been wielded from the highest ranks of power in this country.
