5 ABNORMAL WAYS TO BREAK OUT OF THE NORMAL ROUTINE

I’m a big believer in routine and self-development.

But sometimes you’ve got to say fuck it and do things your way.

Let's piss off self-improvement Twitter

Quick Housekeeping

It takes me a while to write these threads.

I don't ask for much but if you get value out of this, please share the love by RT that first tweet ☝

Thank you 🙏
All that fun shit you daydream about will never happen unless you do them.

Which do you think will hurt more when you’re so old that waking up without shitting your bed is a miracle?

Not working enough or not doing any of the adventures you dreamed about when you were young?
1) Start an online business

Don’t just do it for the money (although that’s obviously great)

Do it as a creative project.

You will learn new skills.

You will develop grit, discipline and an iron mindset which will improve every other aspect of your life.

...
You will meet people you wouldn't meet in real life.

Hell, you might even accidentally stumble upon your PASSION.

And best of all...

Eventually you will have the income and freedom to quit your 9-5 and take the following adventure 👇
2) Move to an exotic country

You've seen @Moneybaglives do it. You've seen @lawrencekingyo do it.

What is a greater adventure than moving to an exotic country? Nothing beats it.

I’m not talking about spending 1 week by the pool in a wanky resort where everyone speaks English.
3 months MINIMUM.

Get an Airbnb in a local neighbourhood with few expats to fully immerse yourself.

Talk to EVERYONE and learn about their culture.

Say yes to all the invitations you get.

If you're single, date a local.

The benefits of living overseas are MASSIVE 👇
> It’s eye opening to see how people live outside the west.
> Earning dollars and spending local currency means your quality of life goes up while expenses go down.
> You will be 100x more interesting and cultured than the average Westerner

Zero downsides to doing this.
3) Start a creative hobby

Hobbies are a great way to develop a skill and keep your mind sharp.

I’ve met a lot of older people in my life and one thing that's clear is the younger ones are ALWAYS more active.

They're not just sitting in front of the TV all day.
The kind of hobby doesn’t matter as long as it’s something you’re passionate about.

Write a novel.

Learn a second language.

Start a youtube channel.

Whatever.

Just go do something other than drink wine and watch Netflix (that’s NOT a personality!)
4) Do volunteer work

Doing volunteer work is extremely rewarding because it feels good to give back.

I’ve done basic things like teach English at local schools and cook food for the homeless.

You can usually find something through local FB groups.

Why do this?
Volunteer work will give you perspective, make you grateful for what you have and just make you a better human being overall.

Don’t be a dweeb and put it on Instagram. It's not about that.

Just be present and enjoy the moment.

You will be rewarded with Good Karma.
5) Go for a long drive

Driving evokes feelings of FREEDOM.

Hop in your car and start driving without any plans of where you are going.

Drive until you are bored of it then turn around and go home.

Whenever I do this a powerful idea always hits me like a ton of bricks.
