This Friday morning HBO has blessed us with the greatest movie ever filmed in #clt*, Shallow Hal. This year marks the 20th anniversary! Let’s get nostalgic (1/x)
*You all probably have a better pick but I’ll always have a special place for this movie (will explain at thread end)

And we’re off! Can’t remember what this club was (Cosmos maybe?) but anyway, y’all remember nightclubs? Or just going out in general? Good times.
Fuel Pizza has stood the test of time and outlasted many of the fancier chains that have come into town. Lesson: Put your pizza place in locations where it’s accessible to late-night tipsy customers. And no need for fancy toppings, just load up on pepperoni.
Not sure what swim club this is but good time to pause & mention Shallow Hal is looked at as one of the weaker Farrelly movies. I think it’s a great plot premise; they all can’t be Something About Mary. My only hangup is Jason Alexander’s character, just never vibed w/ movie
That skyline though!! Old school #clt stand up!
McIntosh’s-wasn’t the greatest local place for a steak. In the movie, Hal calls it a “flimsy-ass four-star restaurant and even then he may be off by 1.5 stars. More importantly though, look at South End with no traffic!
Thx for following along & happy 20th Shallow Hal. Back in my late-night reporting days, after work I’d go to Jillian’s in South End & cast/crew were often there after filming (not Gwyneth though b/c lol). Played ping-pong & darts w/ @jackblack, who couldn’t have been cooler.
