Big news today. Had to get our marriage certificate verified for passport reasons and it turns out the registrar didn’t sign it properly nine years ago so, in fact, I am not married to my wife. 2021!
Incidentally, which is also interesting, the passport thing was because my grandfather was a Jewish refugee from Austria in 1939 and that country are now offering passports to descendants of such people. Which means that my kids and I will have EU passports. What a world.
Had no idea this was a thing, but the replies about other accidents - from somebody marrying their brother-in-law to another being put in custody of their ex husband - are hilarious
