|| The Yoni Mudrā ||

1/10

This mudrā (hand gesture) has been hailed in the yoga & tantra sādhanā for having myriad benefits. The Sanskrit word "yoni" means "vagina". The mudra has been conferred with the nomenclature because it resembles the vaginal structure of a woman's body.

The "yoni" or the vagina emblematizes womanhood, femininity, and maternity altogether. It is also an epitome of the Devī Śakti or the eternal feminine energy which governs the universe, according to tantrik way of sādhanā.

Just like we have been born from our mother's yoni, the cosmos is born out of the yoni of Mātā Mahākālī.

The practice of this mudrā is advisable to all, irrespective of gender. Performing it everyday is bound to provide seven quintessential benefits.
4/10

They are:

1) It keeps the neurones of our body vibrant and, as a result, improves our memory & brain functions.

2) It boosts and revitalizes our thought process & perceptive ability.

3) It keeps the eyesight intact & sustains its longevity.
5/10

4) It invigorates a man's sexual drives (adding more sperm count) and slackens the chances of the sexual diseases such as erectile dysfunction (ED), premature ejaculation (PE), & sterility.

5) It helps to regulate women's menstrual cycle properly & systematically, as well.
6/10

6) It is immensely effective in curing cerebral malfunctions, brain damage, and other brain related issues. It can provide instant relief to minor headaches & periodical braindrain.

7) It emboldens the kāya (body), citta (deeper psyche), and mana (mind).
7/10

Apart from these extrinsic benefits, what I regard as the most important lesson that this mudrā inculcates is the importance of femininity, be it in our body, in the society, or in the cosmos.

It teaches us that femininity has never been subdued in our yogic tradition.
8/10

This is our Sanātana dharma where the woman is not someone who is born out of a man's ribs (as stated in the Abrahamic religions), but she is the one from whom Man is born of. This is the beauty of Sanātana dharma where womanhood has been hailed supreme over masculinity.

Unfortunately, most women (especially the feminists) are hardly aware of these subtle nuances that are indoctrinated in our culture and, as a result, they blame & defame us. It is your duty, brethren, to share this message with everyone & establish truth of the Sanātana!

Jaya Mātā Mahāyoginī!
