ngl I'm disappointed by the showcase being paywalled esp after all the money I just spent on albums and merch but dcc is a small company whose revenue is extremely limited and they have to pay their employees, their managers, they have to pay leez and ollunder for making songs,
they have to pay for manufacturing costs for the albums and merch, for every SINGLE stage dc performs on for their comeback, for the sets and mv production, and the girls too we get so much free content, free stages, special clips, dc notes, vlogs and all those things take time
and money to produce (esp the music show stages) and bc covid has fucked everything up, dc and dcc NEED this money to keep making music and keep promotions going, they have no other sources of revenue except the couple of sponsorships dc has only now just started getting
it sucks and it's frustrating, but I totally get it and I'll do my best to support the showcase too (which ALSO costs a ton bc they have to rent the concert hall and pay the staff and cameramen and the host as well) there are so many financial costs to a comeback
and dcc needs all the money they can get so they can keep supporting dc and giving them comebacks, they've never paywalled a showcase before and the only reason they're doing it now is bc they need to
also don't forget that irl showcase tickets cost money that ksomnies have to pay for, we've been getting the showcases for free bc the irl tickets offset the cost!!
also why do you think dice hasn't really gotten any cbs or promotions at all during covid?? they're still a rookie group who don't pull in numbers and dcc needs to make their investment in a comeback into the group that's gonna make them the most money, otherwise dice would be
having more comebacks and promoting too, dcc is giving dc everything they have bc they know dc is their breadwinner and they know what is gonna keep them afloat as a company during the pandemic
