It's been great seeing everyone's #YearInMonzo reviews this week. Now it's time for us to share.

Here are some of the key stats for Monzo users in 2020.

Unsurprisingly, grocery shopping fell sharply during the first national lockdown. But we also saw average transaction amounts go up, as we all did bigger shops.
We saw a huge spike in DIY transactions on March 21st as people prepped to go into lockdown.

You could even say they were... shedloads 🏚
As we know, it's been a tough year for the hospitality industry. We saw that reflected in transactions too.

Restaurants and cafés took a heavy hit in the first lockdown, and never fully bounced back.
We sought out some escapism too during the lockdowns, with gaming transactions reaching new heights each time.

And unsurprisingly, the biggest day for transactions was the 26th of November - Black Friday. Everybody loves a bargain.
