The last 3 solo projects have each had different rollouts:
Hope World: Big Hit linked an article announcing the release date
mono.: Namjoon tweeted the tracklist and the release date
D-2: Big Hit tweeted a cryptic countdown which ended with the release of the mixtape on D-2

What a member does after release has varied too. Hoseok did a radio interview with Becky G after they released Chicken Noodle Soup. Yoongi did a couple print interviews (TIME, Billboard) after D-2, in which he confirmed that he planned the release promotion.
The process of creating/releasing a mixtape can include a lot of stress. Hoseok spoke candidly about it in Bon Voyage 2 & 3. The creation process took years. Most of us have good intentions when we ask when a project is coming during vlives, but even good intentions add pressure
When the D-2 countdown was spoiled, it was partially because the picture was updated too early on Apple Music, but also because ARMY brought it to social media and spread it like wildfire. We share some of the blame in ruining that surprise. The temptation to solve a mystery or
be the first one to break news on the tl is strong, but the release of solo projects is the result of years of work. They pour their hearts into these projects, and it hurts to see us 1) putting pressure on the guys by constantly asking when a project is going to come and
2) not being patient enough to wait for the release on their terms.
Speculation about when something is coming can be fun, but not everything is a mystery we need to solve. The guys will release their projects on their own schedule, and in a way of their choosing
