Have seen a lot of rhetoric regarding India's smart swarm drone demonstrations.
I've seen Indians celebrating this & I've seen Pakistanis calling it a "set up" so I'll say my opinion.

India caught up with these developments quickly since Azeri/Turkish use of drones in the war with Armenia. We saw how they can effectively be used & India has too. In fact, they had little in the way of interest in this technology before now & have quickly rectified that.
Pakistan, on the other hand, has shown little desire or anticipation to change this. Pakistan's use of drones is actually chequered & to understand that, you only have to look briefly at the history of Pakistan & drones.
When Pakistan used NESCOM Burraq, it became only the 4th country to use armed drones. Since then, Pakistan hasn't extensively developed or utilised even surveillance drones- only need to see the lack of use in Balochistan to understand this.
In fact, we've seen swarm drone demonstrations from China & we've seen them in combat by Az/Turk. But there hasn't been enough discussion in Pak military circles regarding swarm drone tech. Think about how much we could save with any kind of drone technology! Lives & money.
I've also seen Pakistanis deride the Indian test as staged as the target explodes before impact. I don't want to comment on the physics or even demonstration effectiveness. I think there are more important takes you can get from this.
Indian Army has, in conjunction with private companies, developed smart, swarm drone tech & has demonstrated INTENT to go further with this. Even if one derides the demonstration, they have outlined a real development path for their armed forces.
They tested 75? drones & have plans to scale up to operations with up to 1000 drones. They've set a plan of what they want to do, they know what the results gained could be & they have a real developmental path that they are working on.
Meanwhile, Pakistanis are deriding this demonstration as stated. It doesn't matter even if it was staged, you should be alarmed at the idea of India developing such techniques which would be extremely difficult to counter. See this: https://www.lockheedmartin.com/en-us/news/features/2016/webt-laser-swarms-drones.html
Even countries like US, Israel don't have real, foolproof strategies or even truly tested ideas on how to counter smart drones, let alone Pakistan. We should take these developments by India seriously. Forget the demonstrations, think about the intent & what India COULD achieve.
We should also take seriously the lack of development in these areas by Pakistan. If Pakistan can bridge the gap by developing swarm drone techniques, that would help, but is there a concerted effort in Army/PAC or whoever to do this? Have their been strong discussions?
Truth is, Pakistan, a country which has seen extensive use of drones on its territory & is "allies" with countries (Turkey/Azerbaijan/China) that have extensively used or tested swarm drones has been left far behind in its ambitions to use swarm drones or related technology.
Maybe China will once again come to our rescue and fast track us to level playing field, but that is not the point. The point is that we've been shown to be lacking in anticipation & desire as well as having nothing developing in our own country on this level.
Hoping above hope that Pakistan quickly announces its own program or demonstration! But I have not heard anything to suggest that.
Just seen some typos, please ignore those, sorry.
