People who are economically comfortable should be calling on Biden to keep his word, not minimizing the difference between $1400 and $2000. You all know what people are going through. You know they believed the words "$2000 checks" meant $2000 checks. Just advocate for that shit.
I promise it won't hurt you or Biden to ask him to give people the full $2000. You'd be doing him a favor, bc failing to give ppl the $2K will haunt him. He's turning what would've been a huge opening PR win into a bait and switch controversy that will be used against Dems 4 yrs.

$2000 is a pittance after the year we've had. It is shameful that the U.S. has done so little to offer support. It's heinous. People in other countries are appalled. All of you who are comfortable during this nightmare should be demanding AT LEAST $2K up front for the people.
People talking about Manchin: Explain that to everyday people who don't pay attention to politics. Because what they see is a president who caved without a fight on a MAJOR promise before he even took office. By the time you're trying to justify that, you've lost the narrative.
Also, I don't think most people are going to love the idea that Biden could be so easily squeezed out of a big promise by Manchin -- like before he's even president. That's not a great narrative for Biden either. Makes him sound weak and incapable of delivering on his promises.
