i think there is a problem w liberals ive finally got a handle on. its this thing where instead of focusing on one victory, people spin out into frankly unrealistic scenarios only to be disappointed by them.
things like
- trump's going to jail
- the insurrection members of congress will be expelled
- the fairness doctrine will ban fox
some of that is hyperbole but i feel like its better if we are optimistic but realistically optimistic.

be happy with a "6" instead of sad things didn't ever reach "11"
i joke about being the wet blanket, but ive had to do so much talking down of liberals, both on and offline. "calm your ass down."
i think optimism is a net good. but take it slow. we'd all like to see scotus chief justice michelle obama preside over mass same-sex marriage while a fleet of electric long distance trains launches to the west coast but it *probably* isn't happening week after next.
