One last time: this is an inaccurate quotation of what Tuberville said. He said, “We probably could have had a swearing in and *done an* inauguration a little later on after we’d got this virus behind us a little bit.” "Done an" is omitted and it changes the meaning.
Namely, "had a swearing in and inauguration a littler later on" suggests the both are done at the same time later while "had a swearing in and *done an* inauguration a little later" suggests "swearing in *now*" and "inauguration *later*."
I despise Tuberville, but we should quote people accurately and plausibly interpret the accurate quotations. We also have enough to worry about without inventing new outrageous statements. Delaying Biden's presidency isn't what he said. It isn't what meant. Stop saying it.
Capacity of people to want to argue about this is so disturbing, especially after they've learned that the original quotation they read (and from which they formed their opinion) was inaccurate. Lots of willfully bad misreadings rather than just saying, "Oh, he was misquoted!"
Look, folks: this is really the first time Tuberville has ever had a good defense.
(last tweet was a football joke ok)

People are saying, "But you're an Auburn fan, Gabe. How can we trust you?"

As an Auburn fan, I have more reason to hate Tuberville than most people.

Tempted to post a picture of me in my "World Gym Auburn, AL" t-shirt.
