Warning about spam calls -

There has been a rise in scam calls where people pretend to be HMRC. They make threatening calls saying they’ll issue warrants for your arrest if you don’t make payment.

THIS IS FAKE.

HMRC will never do this.
They leave a voicemail too.

Times are scary right now and this is frightening. If you get one of these calls, do not send a panic payment. It is not and never will be legitimate. Again, this isn’t how HMRC work!

Report the number, block it and take a breath. You’re ok.
To some people the scam is obvious but to other struggling with debt or worrying about money, the authoritative voice and threatening tone can have you fooled.

Be careful. Scams are rife right now!
