I don't know how to address the Covid pandemic. But I do know that all the people on this website saying it would have been very easy for the US doesn't jive with China locking down 22 million people and building "quarantine centers" after some people caught Covid at a wedding.
China also offers us a lesson in what some experts would do if given autocratic government control and enormous resources. For whatever it's worth, that wasn't rapid antigen testing, which only got approved in China in November. They use lockdowns, contact tracing, PCR screening.
A lot of authorities are stubborn and unimaginative. I never wanted to be the guy who defends the status quo. But to say that mass home testing will solve the pandemic (again, I support home testing) is to say every single other country is in on some conspiracy to suppress it.
