The biggest focus is on intent. Slowing down and doing things correctly.

Joint position dictates muscle function. So if form gets sloppy we're no longer training what was intended.

We emphasized the basics.
A quality warm-up focused on hip/thoracic mobility and plenty of trunk/glute activation. These are many of the same weak-points everyone else has.
Compound exercises.
Optimal form with squats, trap bar deadlifts, single leg work, pushes, pulls.

Isolation work: A little bit, but not a ton. Very specific to the sport. It was always at the end of training as an add on and often meant to keep things fun.
Rest periods: Often complete rest between sets. The focus is on 100% rep quality and focused intent.
