@MelbUnitedHQ are running some simple Trans principles on offense this year it seems through 'Flow'. 1st side and 2nd side action with the lead big lifting to change sides on offense. 3 clips here - follow the thread for 3 different looks. #NBLXsandOs
The first side is a drag screen usually around the FT line and as the ball moves from the 1st side of offense to the 2nd side you can almost see Chris Goulding licking his chops knowing he's coming off a pindown and a DHO. The 2nd side is commonly referred to as 3-a-side action
The next look is McCarron reversing the ball to the 4 in the back court, into the 1st side of offense & the ball coming back to 3-a-side action. This time the pindown is followed by a DHO but @JockLandale does a great job of rolling hard which is rewarded by CG43 #NBLXsandOs
The 3rd look is set up by CG43 exploring a backdoor look This triggers the next phase of the play. McCarron sees the backdoor, reverses it & sets a pindown screen for Goulding. It's a good example of a well drilled team - one action sets off another action & everyone is in sync
The last wrinkle in Trans I saw from @DeanVickerman in flow was what Fearney used to call 'Irish' - a shallow cut or an irish cut with the opposite big lifting into a PnR. I've heard this play also be called 'Dribble' or 'Shallow On'. Coaches are creative with their play calls
