A new covid variant has been detected in Manaus : P.1.
An earlier study put the attack rate at 75% of the population, and Manaus was thought to have achieved herd immunity. Let's hope this is not an antibody-escape variant. https://virological.org/t/genomic-characterisation-of-an-emergent-sars-cov-2-lineage-in-manaus-preliminary-findings/586
