(Short Thread) Karen Ingala Smith is the Chief Exec of Nia (who provide domestic abuse services for women). She is also very GC. At a parliamentary inquiry she is essentially asked if trans service users have ever caused issues. She gives an example of an abusive trans person...
...who wasn't seeking refuge. When asked again, she says she has never heard of a time where the Equality Act needed to be used to remove someone purely because they were trans and that upsetting anyone. Here is the video.

There cannot be another GC person with more knowledge of the refuge sector in the UK. This was her time to announce all the problems that trans people supposedly cause in refuge. Name some specific times it has happened.
And she brings up a story about a vile sounding abusive trans person who wasn't seeking refuge and wasn't applying for it, let alone had access to refuge.

GC people haven't a leg to stand on. Ever.

This was not covered in the mainstream press. Obviously.
I included the whole question and answer so people cannot say I took this out of context but here is the full video so you can check that this isn't some out of context nonsense. https://parliamentlive.tv/Event/Index/0d07ff13-636e-4b51-a946-2877e583dc4c
The other two witnesses couldn't name a time either.

For years in the media it was "debated" about the hypothetical idea of a trans woman in a womens refuge being dangerous.

They all ignored this.
There cannot be a more obvious example of how the media failed the UK public by failing to provide facts.

Instead they cashed in on a hypothetical idea that there is no evidence for. Because that got them more eyes.
We covered this on our Podcast a few months after this happened. Don't know anyone else who did.
And we only did because one of the witnesses emailed it to us.
