We wonder how alteration of history can occur. Well, the 1800’s had so much shit happening, I think history preservation was not at the top of their list. Floods, fires, disease, volcanoes, and wars. A LOT. For fires, here is the rundown, from the 1911 Edison’s Encyclopedia 🤯
Did you know that there were 594 wars, revolts and rebellions in the 1800’s, around the world? 🤯 🤯 I went to do a casual glance at the Wikipedia page, and it was enormous. I had to count them up.
Lots of massive flooding, although that’s not so unusual
A couple of volcanic eruptions.
Lots of Cholera, tuberculosis, yellow fever, a bit of plague, etc
There were hurricanes and wildfires. They equated the Johnstown flood to a tsunami, in Pennsylvania, when the dam broke.
It would have been so easy to change historical accounts during this time.....
