There was a great conversation on Clubhouse tonight with a bunch of people who love San Francisco and want to fix our city. It made me even more optimistic that we can build a coalition of people who care, and turn things around.

Some thoughts:
I started @GrowSF so we could bring the tech community together, learn about the issues in our city, and advocate for change.

The conversations about SF on Twitter are great, and I learn a lot from them, but if we want SF to be better, we have to get involved and do work.
There is no silver bullet. Should we recall Chesa? Probably. Will that instantly fix all of our problems? Of course not. But we shouldn't lose hope because of that.

We need to work every year to elect better officials into office. @GrowSF is here for the long game.
That might seem hopeless but it's not! I believe if we can replace about a dozen elected officials (supervisors, school board, DA, etc) the entire city will be transformed.

The best part? These races are decided by hundreds or low thousands of votes. It's incredibly achievable.
Unfortunately today there are some very influential voter guides that people trust, but are the very cause of the problems we see in our city today. We need to create a strong alternative to these guides.
So that's what we're doing with @GrowSF. We're going to educate people about issues in the city, build our base, earn your trust, and then publish a voter guide with every election.

If you use our voter guide, and you tell your friends to use our voter guide, we will win.
We're a group of volunteers and could use your help. If you want to learn more, check out http://growsf.org  and subscribe to our newsletter. If you want to volunteer, email me at [email protected]
