and the reason why i'm sharing this is not bc i'm scared, or surprised.

the incredible irony of today was that DreamlandXR was happening simultaneously w/ VERY little representation from Black creators.
so, we gathered to speak on what ppl in the Black social #VR community is doing and how we can continue to carve our own spaces.

and so, like i said, it's not surprising to me. it stings each time, but it comes with the territory of existing in these spaces.

i'm not so interested in talking about the future of VR tbh. i'm interested in the now. with the tools and resources we have right now. bc clearly, proven over and over again, the virtual world that folks want to build doesn't include any aspect of us.
and we'll keep pushing back. but not only going up against, but cultivating our own worlds.
