Amazon's anti-union website is a great lesson in the talking points you can expect if you try to organize where you work. Bosses in every industry say the same things, and it's all garbage. https://www.doitwithoutdues.com/
The only thing the Amazon union busting website gets right is that you'll have to pay dues. Dues sustain your union and make it possible to keep fighting, and winning, against rich mfs like Jeff Bezos.
The raises and benefits won in a contract basically always more than cover the cost of dues, and are definitely cheaper than getting seriously injured in an unsafe, non-union warehouse, or losing your job without just-cause.
The fun thing about union contracts is that tons of them are publicly available online. You can just go look at what union workers in your industry have won 😌
I just looked through a warehouse workers' contract that was over 50 pages long and included everything from annual raises to the protected right to refuse to drive company vehicles before they've been cleared of snow (I'm sure that's in there for a reason!).
Union dues come out of workers' paychecks, if Amazon cared so much about how much their employees were taking home, they'd give them a raise! Like all employers, Amazon fights unions because union workers have *power* ✊
