There’s revolutionary work being done in Philly to free people from jail and end the use of cash bail. @shaunking, you are actively undermining these efforts by demanding we support @DA_LarryKrasner without holding him accountable for the promises he has yet to keep.
@DA_LarryKrasner has been demanding $1M bails in the middle of the pandemic, where people have limited access to their attorney’s in jail because the facilities are closed to the public, which includes defense attorneys and public defenders.
In fact he’s angry that SOME of those requests get denied. He thinks that higher bails will protect our communities from gun violence.

Which is laughable. If that were true we’d be seeing a steady decline in gun violence right now. Instead orgs like @Phillybailout and @phillybailfund are bailing out poor, Black and brown folks who can’t afford to spend the rest of this pandemic in jail.
Not to mention the hundreds of George Floyd and Walter Wallace Jr PROTESTORS who he’s actively pressing charges on as we speak.
And now you @shaunking step in with your outsized platform claiming Philly owes this man something. Do you care about local movements and the labor it takes to organize them? I’m confused. Who in Philly did you talk to?
Or, are you comfortable throwing your weight behind someone who is refusing to be held accountable? Make it make sense.
