kinda seems like bandcamp is trying to position themselves as the dominant player for album sales, news/promotion, and manufacturing aka the entire economy of music production nbd
like am I the only person who sees what they’re doing as identical to fb, google in that they’re making it so nobody ever has to leave their site to listen to, read about, or make a record?

They’re probably trying to buy landr right now
no matter how nice and awesome they are there’s still a guy at a desk at the top of the chain going “HOW CAN WE MAKE MORE MONEY” oh fuck I just realized capitalism is bad for art!
