We have quite a parliamentary moment going on in Houston ISD. Trustees can't agree on who to choose as board president.

They've now held 3 separate votes on 3 different candidates (Deigaard, Allen, Sung). All votes have been 4-5 or 3-6.
We have now gone through 5 rounds of voting, with 5 different candidates nominated, with 20 votes taken, and Houston ISD trustees still can't agree on a board president.

The board is now in closed session.
The initial round of 4 votes for Houston ISD board president votes have generally gone like this (names listed as those in favor):

Sue Deigaard: Deigaard, Cruz, Flynn Vilaseca, Hernandez

Pat Allen: Allen, Guidry, Blueford-Daniels

Anne Sung: Sung, Santos, Flynn Vilaseca
