the fact that lesbian is a noun but most others can be used as adjectives (for ex. a bisexual woman, a gay man) which makes lesbian feel impersonal because you can’t attach a person to it

making lesbians feel the need to keep their experiences to themselves simply bc they don’t like men

OH the fact that lesbian is used in a derogatory way and sexualized to the point that many lesbians don’t feel comfortable labeling themselves with it
