Today, B.1.1.7 was assigned to 15,369 sequences on GISAID from 36 countries. Turkey (20) is newly represented by B.1.1.7 sequences on GISAID, in addition to previously reported countries.
Lineage B.1.351/ 501Y.V2 was assigned to 415 sequences on GISAID from 13 countries across the world. Norway (1) joins the countries represented by B.1.351/ 501Y.V2 sequences on GISAID. @Tuliodna @houzhou
15 sequences of P.1 were assigned to sequences on GISAID, meaning no additional sequences were assigned P.1 today. @nmrfaria
We present updated B.1.1.7 sequence counts and reports on volume of passengers leaving London in October. To date, a total of 52 countries report cases of B.1.1.7. Currently P.1 has only been detected in Brazil and Japan.
