The Paddle Steamer, a historic landmark in Butetown is set to be demolished by Cardiff Council to make way for 28 flats and includes NO community space at all !!!
The Paddle Steamer, a historic landmark in Butetown is set to be demolished by Cardiff Council to make way for 28 flats and includes NO community space at all !!!
An appeal led by us and attracting 1000s of signatures and support for a replacement cafe to be included as part of the new development fell on deaf ears.
With the amended plans now been put forward to the Cardiff Council for approval with no consideration to any of the statements by key influencers and local residents signatures.
During the Xmas break, Cardiff Council have decided to go ahead with the demolition of the Paddle with no plans to reinstate the community café.
Despite 100s of objections & campaiging, the revised plans will see the Paddle Steamer demolished and have NO community space for a replacement.
