So, what does it say when an EDI committee, is reluctant to include language in its charter about addressing white supremacy and patriarchy?

Why does the committee even exist?
This is the problem with the "Equity, Diversity, Inclusion" Industrial complex.

People can use those vague-ass terms to pull us away from tackling the fundamental issues of white supremacy.
This is why we see justice groups arising in organizations that have EDI-Industrial Complex.

These groups actually focus on the issues that EDI groups have largely performatively claimed to do something about for literally decades.
Human Resource offices are usually not the right place to fight for justice in an organization, but these are typically the offices that are tasked with doing "EDI" work.

This is the safe way for organizations to LOOK like they're doing something while doing virtually NOTHING.
What does it say when a committee meets for two hours every two weeks, and folks don't really have equitable paid time to do work outside of this meeting.

What kind of commitment to justice does that show?
