Just listened to a wild podcast exchange between Steve Bannon and Rudy Giuliani.
Rudy is spinning the Antifa-did-this
. And Bannon is like, “Rudy. Rudy. Rudy. OK. OK. Fine. Fine.”
Bannon: “I don’t mind being shut down for my craziness. I’m not gonna be shut down for yours.”

Bannon: “I don’t mind being shut down for my craziness. I’m not gonna be shut down for yours.”
Rudy replies: “I’m really very frustrated. I’m not crazy.”
Bannon: “I know.” They continue talking, and Rudy comes back to his earlier point.
Rudy: “And I don’t say crazy things.”
Bannon: “I know. I’m just teasing you.”

A less-crazy exchange after that with pro-Trump pollster John McLaughlin who has a warning for the Republicans who voted to impeach:
This is Donald Trump’s party and you’re all going to be purged in the 2022 primaries

One thing Bannon believes —as do I—is that a number of Senate GOP want to seize this moment to disqualify Trump from ever running again and be done with him. And hope to make Schumer/Democrats the face of conviction while they quietly abet it. (One way: not showing up for a vote)
