Beyond the Rules is a project about how we can reorient the way that we govern & organise in businesses, orgs & civil society fit for the world ahead of us. A world that we envision to be radically more distributed and democratic at all levels.
The public & funding sectors, in this future, play roles more as platforms. They gather around & boost the work led by civil society, the people closest to the realities they look to better - dreamers, artists, activists, grassroots groups etc (some @PantheaLee inspiration here)
As power is distributed down, it's critical that groups are armed with the core skills, practices & structures to organise appropriately for this complex, interdependent, emergent world. We need to be building that muscle now, despite how hard that is whilst within current structures. And it's hard. It takes energy, resource, thought, time. Things that are already squeezed hard in groups working for purpose.
The BTR partners are all working on shifting practice. We are coming together to share what we are doing, learn from each other & others doing this work & see how together we can move things forward. We'd like to share ideas and hear yours. If you can please join us.
