In fact there is no evidence that Lockdown has any impact on the course of the virus. Whitty has conceded that R<1 *before* March Lockdown. All subsequent local lockdowns, tiers, circuit breakers etc have been applied after cases had already peaked. /2
Nor would you expect Lockdowns to have impact on a virus where asymptomatic spread is essentially a myth & spread is primarily nosocomial (hospitals, GP's, care homes etc).

But the clearest evidence that Lockdowns are ineffective is that 9 months in we're still in this self-harming cycle.

Lockdown sceptics have advocated "shield the vulnerable" or "focussed protection" from the start. Yet still the Lockdown monomaniacs proclaim "there is no alternative". They are deaf to reason. /5
Lockdowns have failed to protect the vulnerable - who have had the double whammy of extended Covid crisis (delayed herd immunity in the healthy/young low-risk) AND mothballed NHS => reduced vital health care.

Worse still, Lockdown monomaniacs have conceded vital ground: (1) state has acquired the right to deprive us of liberty any time it sees fit (2) scientific enquiry/scepticism & empirical evidence abandoned in favour of irrational emoting. ("Granny killer"). /7
