The @PureFitbaw podcast sometimes gets 'join our podcast network?' enquiries

Your podcast too?

I've a list of basic questions that I think might be helpful to ask if you ever considering joining one. Will thread it out below. Is non-exhaustive please feel free to add to it.
* Are we in fact selling the podcast by doing this?
* Length of contract?
* Are we giving up copyright?
* What creative control are we agreeing to?
* Do we have full access to analytics?
* Do you own your own hosting service or is it a third party?
* Do we need to pay hosting?
* How does the transfer from our current podcast host over to the network’s hosting service work? How about if we leave?
* Can we see an example contract?
* Are we contractually prevented from launching other stuff such as a patreon if we join?
* What are their advertising projections for a show like ours?
* How much is their cut of the advertising revenue, is it negotiable?
* Are the adverts inserted for us?
* Are they ones we record ourselves?
* Do we have control over who/what we agree to have as advertisers?
* Who might be the other podcasts in the network?
* What sort of cross promotion actually happens - is it mandated contractually or just expected?
* What evidence is there of the impact of their network cross-promotion in terms of lasting audience growth?
* Do they use the non podcast network aspect of their business to cross-promote in any meaningful way?
*Do they coach or mentor us in growing our business?
* Can they get us featured on Itunes/press coverage/accreditation for events?
* Is there an option of a trial period?
End of questions. As I said, a non exhaustive short list of prompts to maybe consider/questions to pose if you are approached by a podcast network. Add on any others you see fit.
