Now bring back the Double Decker Taco™️! https://twitter.com/fox8nola/status/1349791158399086597
Story time - When I was a kid, my grandparents had a winter mobile home in south TX near the border, and we’d go across into Mexico for the day to eat lunch and buy cheap prescription drugs 🤪. At the restaurant, they’d serve soft tortillas to wrap around the crunchy tacos... 🌮
My dad thought that was brilliant. Upon returning home, my dad started ordering soft shells to wrap around his crunchy tacos at the 23rd Street Taco Bell in Panama City where we ate nearly every week. He would explain in great detail to the teenage cashier why he did this...
The Double Decker Taco was invented soon after. My dad maybe joked, maybe seriously believed he helped invent it. We ate Double Decker Tacos nearly every week when I was growing up.
