1/. What’s bizarre about lockdowns is that they seem to be supported fanatically by socialists. Yet lockdowns are self evidently increasing inequalities in all directions. The poor are more likely to lose their jobs; their children are less likely to get educated

2/. The rich are getting richer: their homes and shares are going up in value; meanwhile the poor are getting evicted. The 10m unable to WFH are likely to be low income.Those likely to be suffering most from lockdowns - living in smaller/shared/rented homes - are on lower incomes

3/. Big corporates are safe/doing well from lockdowns - it’s small businesses getting crushed. Left wingers argue that they defend all these constituencies: yet lockdowns are obliterating their livelihoods, prospects and families. Is this the new progressive?!
