I’ve been thinking about the cool ways @GCPcloud reinvented public cloud. We took many first-generation cloud concepts, and made them better for you.

It's 🧵 time!
Modern apps need modern data stores. We re:built the relational database for the cloud era with Cloud Spanner. The classic relational database is terrific, and you may want those capabilities AND effortless scale.
Speaking of data, we re:energized the data warehouse with BigQuery. Ideal for big or small datasets, it’s fully managed and operates at remarkable scale. Folks seem to love it.
You deserve a better way to run your apps. We re:designed the ideal compute host by taking the code-centric nature of PaaS, introducing the portability and packaging of CaaS, and adding the event-driven scaling of FaaS. Cloud Run, FTW!
We know how to make containers more user-friendly. We re:made the compute landscape with Kubernetes and GKE, and re:freshed the container lifecycle by making Cloud Native Buildpacks a fundamental part of many GCP services.
Sometimes you have to leave the past behind, and we haven’t hesitated to re:tire services and features. HIYOOOOO! We’re getting better though :)

We re:shaped what hybrid and multicloud customers can do.

Anthos offers a cloud-backed control plane that deploys and manages app-ready Kubernetes clusters anywhere. And BigQuery Omni brings world class data analytics to data lakes sitting on other clouds.
Why are so many cloud portals terrible to use? We re:stored your faith that managing your cloud doesn’t have to happen in a disjointed, eye-watering web interface. The Google Cloud Console has a clean, modern experience for a clean, modern cloud.
We re:imagined the way cloud providers and customers can partner to achieve better business outcomes. We're not coming for your industry, we're helping you become a leader within it.

I wanted to start the day with some positivity. Any other ways GCP has made the cloud better?
