Why I am remaining public rather than choosing to be anonymous...1/7
After this past weekend with growing concerns of monopolistic firms acting in a predatory manner bullying small players such as Parler and banning hundreds of my conservative followers I began to grow concerned over my name due to future opportunities such as graduate school. 2/7
I thought for several days whether to go behind an anonymous name or to remain public and with much thought and discussion — I have decided to remain public for a few reasons: 3/7
1—Skin in the game.
2—I want my future children to know their dad stood firm on his beliefs and did not quiver to adversity.
3—To be a light/ example. My heroes are either dead (Solzhenitsyn, Hayek, Scruton) or are nearing old age (Sowell or Paul). Who will carry the baton? 4/7
4—Remaining public will be a test of faith if I truly trust God and if He will lead me. Versus on an anonymous account it’s easy to stay comfortable incognito. Manhood is built by means of adversity. 5/7
5—Lastly, being outspoken will force me to sharpen and develop exceptional skills to the point where it outweighs my views. In staying myself I do not need to worry about suppressing myself by staying hidden, through patience an opportunity will present itself. 6/7
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” — Mark 6:44. I should not fear my adversary by staying hidden and if I’m silenced God will provide as I must trust Him and press forward until my time is up. 7/7
P.S. — If you stay anonymous I understand you, this is nothing against you — just a choice I have made for myself.
