Why I left Maoism. A thread:
It started about.... some days ago, where I saw this criticism by @EnverVanHalen explaining why Maoism is a bunch of crap.
I saw what he said, at first I brushed it off, "Ignore that person lol they're so wrong" was my first impression.

I asked one of my friends who is very informed on today's news, wars, and such like that, they're really interested in it.
I asked them about mainly CPP-NPA and the Indian Maoists on the PPWs ongoing there.
After knowing some information, I was shocked.

The Indian Maoists have been declining in activity, the Filipinos are pretty much losing..
EnverVanHalen's criticism of Maoism usually went by this:
"PPW hasn't worked anywhere outside of China" and amongst some other things, but I kept the PPW argument on my mind.

I remembered the argument and was like "Hmmm, Enver seems really right about it"
I began questioning, I remembered my old questionings of Maoism 2 months ago, regarding capitalist restorationism and the Shining Path completely falling after Gonzalo got imprisoned...

Before that by like 3 days, I started reading Stirner's ego and its own.
I saw myself agreeing with Stirner more than I agreed with Mao.
That also was in questioning, so I was confused entirely politically, I was still a Maoist, but a lasped one.

I started questioning more, till Maoism started fading away, I already agreed with Stirner, I already was interested in Anarchism.
I had confessed my sympathy to egoism to people like @Diodeeeee and @NovatoreGaming.
At this point I pretty much lost all faith in Maoism in general, again, still largely sympathetic to anarchism.
I panicked, I was like "Wait, am I an anarchist now? My friends are all going to go away, this is going to be an absolute disaster."
I took some courage and said I'm an egoist.
I took some courage and said I'm an egoist.
I also questioned how every single Maoist attempt results in a large cult of personality and falls into revisionism when the cult leader dies.
This happened with both Maoist China AND the PCP.
While the PCP didn't become revisionist, it largely ceased to exist when Gonzalo died
